[Poster Presentation] 8-Branch MIMO Base Station Antenna using 4 Orthogonal Angles and 2 Polarizations

(in English) A cellular base station antenna realizing 8-branch MIMO is proposed and investigated. As the number of branches increases, a base station antenna system grows in size, but the proposed antenna minimizes the size, especially in the lowfrequency band under 6 GHz, where it is highly effective. The proposed antenna is composed of four orthogonal patterns with two orthogonal polarizations. Its patterns were confirmed both by simulation and experiment. In addition, when considering waves incident to the proposed antenna, its MIMO correlation was near or below 0.2.
