Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this manuscript, effectiveness of link adaptation combined with the channel search scheduling scheme is evaluated. The proposed scheduling scheme is as Access-Point (AP) transmits burst real-time data to STAs in slid order cyclically in every Service Interval (SI), and purpose of the scheduling is avoiding interference to guarantee Quality of Service (QoS) of high quality real-time data transmission in IEEE802.11 wireless LAN. In the proposed method, AP controls data transmission rates based on channel information between AP and Station (STA), and selecting the highest data transmission rate maintaining QoS of real-time data enables STAs to search other channels for longer duration. The throughput of SDTV video streaming over HCCA in the IEEE802.11e and the detection probability of other BSS packets are evaluated by computer simulation, and effectiveness of the proposed method is shown.
