Fast Path Computation Algorithm for recovery within a required time on Optical Networks

(in English) In an optical network which accommodates huge amount of traffic, a single fiber failure influences many optical paths on it. Fast recover from a fiber failure is strongly required. The shared mesh recovery that enables multiple protecting paths to share optical resource is required to reduce optical resource. We have proposed the fast fault recovery method to resolve the above issues. In our proposed recovery method, we first calculate routes of protecting paths, which share optical resource between other protecting paths, before a failure occurs. And then when a failure occurs, a node that detects the failure broadcasts a fault notification message and nodes receiving the messages activate protecting path related to the failure. In this paper we propose the Time-Constrainted Recovery Path for Segment (TCRPS) computation algorithm for pre-planning protecting paths. The TCRPS algorithm searches a protecting path to provide fast recovery in the required recovery time, to reduce optical resource for recovery by sharing optical resource, and to reduce the number of protecting paths to protect segments. Furthermore, we confirm the effective of the TCRPS algorithm using simulation.
