Introduction of detail mechanism of Ether OAM(Y.17ethoam)

(in English) The Ethernet network is widely spread and adopted to the access portion or metro area for the reason of its cost advantage. Some standards organizations are being investigating the study related to the wide area Ethernet. The International Telecommunication Union – Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) takes on significant works on this area. This report explains the activity of ITU-T SG 13 on the study of Y.17ethoam related to the OAM mechanism of wide area Ethernet. The target of Y.17ethoam is to standardize the OAM mechanism of wide area Ethernet applied for carrier network. This report reviews the basic concept of administration, its modeling scheme, and OAM functions under being studied.
