This paper proposes a new PN synchronization system using Cycle-and-Add property of PN (Pseudo Noise) sequence featuring fast acquisition in direct sequence spread spectrum code-division-multiple-access (DS-CDMA).
The proposed system achieves acquisition and tracking in one circuit.
Rapid acquisition is carried out by generating a PN sequence in a simple multiplicative action of a received signal with its delayed one.
This multiplicative action is similar to differentially coherent detection and realizes an anti-fading property.
The principle, performance evaluation and detection probability of synchronization for the proposed method are shown in an AWGN channel. Furthermore, the detection probability of synchronization in a Rayleigh fading channel is shown for the performance evaluation. Rapid acquisition is realized at the time of multiple access users. |
