Evaluation of Node Information Collection Protocols for the Multihop Bluetooth Network (MBNET)

(in English) In this paper, the performance of a topology construction algorithm for Multi-hop Bluetooth Network (MBNET) is evaluated. MBNET is a network concept to connect multiple nodes with Bluetooth devices. Each node has multiple Bluetooth devices and connects multiple piocnets, where no device joins multiple piconets. We compare Sequential Discovery Protocol with Parallel Discovery Protocol that are used in the MBNET for collecting node information. The simulation results show that the information collection time of Parallel Discovery Protocol is quite shorter than that of Sequential Discovery Protocol.
