It is proposed that Japanese learners as Second Language(L2) are required to understand the social contexts of L2 and to develop the sociolinguistic competence in order to use target language properly.
We investigate that frequency of spontaneous gestures are affected by the following speech loads with animation narrative task; speech language (L1 Korean, L2 Japanese) and speech settings (Korea, Japan). The results show that the frequency of L1 spontaneous gestures in Korea is higher than in Japan. In contrast, speech settings do not affect the frequency of L2 spontaneous gestures. |
