False-Positive Elimination of Mammographic Masses Using Similar Image Retrieval on Mammogram CAD System

(in English) We have been developing a method of a false-positive elimination of mammographic masses using similar image retrieval on mammogram CAD system. Firstly, 140 features are extracted from 4-way edge images using higher-order autocorrelation. Secondly, the similarity between the images is calculated by the Euclidean distance. Finally, false positives are eliminated by irregular majority decision. The effectiveness of our method was confirmed by the experiment using mammograms.
