Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In order to effectively summarize a movie, scenes that represent the impressions of a movie should be detected and utilized. According to Film Grammar, camera work is used to emphasize the impressions of a movie. The effect of which is conspicuous, so it is possible to detect segments of the effect in a movie. In this paper, we propose a method of extracting movie effects based on camera work in movies. To begin, we detect segments of camera work and classify them. Then, we analyze camera parameter in these segments and detect the emphasized object of them. This procedure extracts segments that will give a specific impression of a movie.
