Finding the Course of a Ship and Reinforcement Learning Algorithm
Kunihiko Mitsubori (Japan Coast Guard Acad.), Takeshi Kamio (Hiroshima City Univ.), Takahiro Tanaka (Japan Coast Guard Acad.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We consider the reinforcement learning algorithm to find the appropriate courses of two ships which avoid the collision between them. The learner must find the appropriate answers of the problems: where they will collide in, which ship should bypass the other, and how strong the ships should make their own rudders work. We try to construct a framework to make the decisions in these problems step by step.
