Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We proposed an electro-optic (EO) probing techique based on optical heterodyne method and demonstrated measurement of a electromagnetic field at microwave frequency range. In this technique, the intensity of light from a single-mode laser was modulated by an external optical modulator. The modulated light was amplified by an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) and mixed with electric filed of a dvice under test (DUT) in an electro-optic crystal.
