Formulation of Communication Using Single Feed Antennas Loaded with Variable Reactors and Extraction of Propagation Parameter

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page) 
(in English) A communication by using a singe fed antenna whose directivity can be varied by the loaded variable reactors is proposed, where the reactance values suitable for the propagation circumstances are searched and controlled. The formulation to express the communication is also presented. By considering not only the feed point but also points loaded with variable reactors as ports, the propagation characteristic is expressed with the admittance among the ports, like as MIMO system. The method to extract the admittance by measuring receive signals is disclosed. And the comparison between the admittance and an equivalent steering vector proposed before is discussed.
