A study on DOA estimation based on the weighted Wiener gain -- Application to HRTF data --

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We have already proposed a method to estimate directions of arrival(DOA) of sound sourcesbased on weighted Wiener gain in the previous reports[1].
The proposed method exploites the two directional microphones whose directions are arranged to have the rotational symmetry. This arrangement can provide estimation of not only azimath angle but elevation angle of sound sources. In this report, we investigate possibility for appling HRTF instead of microphone directivity to our method because the HRTF exibits asymmetricity between L- and R-channel depending on frequency.
Simulation results demonstrates that while GCC can estimate two-dimensional DOA in elevation and azimathal angle depending on the frequency band to use, our method can also estimate two-dimensional DOA.
