Link aggregation is the bonding together of two or more links into a single link that appears as a single, higher-bandwidth logical link and it is standardized by the IEEE 802.3ad Working Group. In the link aggregation, important point is the way to allocate connections to the link among multiple links. Existing methods cannot realize high bandwidth utilization, and low loss and low delay for high-priority connections, together. We proposed dynamic L2 Distribution method, which allocates connections to the link depending on the traffic situation and connection priority in order to utilize link bandwidth and protect high-priority connections. Since link changeover leads packet losses and decreasing throughput, our method can avoid excess link changeover, avoid link changeover to high-priority connections and equalize link changeover frequency between connections. In this paper, we consider parameters for link changeover to improve bandwidth utility. Then, we reveal the relation between link changeover and parameters through computer simulations. |
