Radiation Characteristics Analysis of Linear Antenna Composed of Dual Elements With Differential Length

(in English) It is known experimentally that for a two wires transmission line, a large emission can be occurred when the length of the 2 wires is different each other. The authors considered this line as a novel linear antenna. Then we measured some antenna characteristics for various parameters and indicated the antenna having 33 percent bandwidth ratio. In this paper, we analyzed current distribution on the elements with moment method in order to describe the antenna operation principle, and examined that the relation between common mode current and radiation characteristics. Next, we analyzed radiation characteristics for various radiuses of elements to aim wider bandwidth. Finally, we compared performances with a folded dipole antenna. From the results, we indicated that common mode current become cosine waveform and the maximum value is large when VSWR is low. Then we indicated the antenna having 42 percents bandwidth ratio by analyzed for various radiuses.
