Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Since future wireless networks will need to support devices of heterogeneous characteristics such as modulation schemes and symbol rates, the development of techniques for rejecting heterogeneous interference is becoming an important issue. In this paper, we study a non-parametric (blind) interference rejection approach based on cyclic Wiener (CW) filtering. CW filtering exploits the spectral correlation among separated parts of the spectrum of the desired device's signal in order to reject in-band interference. CW filtering does not need to know the parameters of the interfering signal. However, its performance largely depends on the degree of spectral correlation at the desired device's signal. Spectral correlation itself largely depends on the pulse shaping filter in use. Accordingly, we address the issue of designing pulse shapes with high degree of spectral correlation but limited bandwidth. Specifically, we propose a half-shrunk sinc pulse and a half-shrunk square root raised cosine pulse for improving the immunity of desired device's signal against in-band interference. Computer simulation results reveal the effectiveness of our proposed design.
