Selection Method of Relay Station according to Reception Quality for Multihop

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We propose the distributed autonomous selection scheme of relay stations(RSs) for Uplink to achieve the higher BER performance. RSs decide whether to relay a packet to BS for itself according to the own channel quality of RS to BS and the other RS’s channel quality. In the case of one RS is high channel quality, the RS relay the packet to BS and the other RS stops relaying packet. In the case of both RSs are low channel qualities, RSs relay the packet to BS simultaneously. To tell the own channel quality for the other RS, RS controls the delay time of relayed packet. And, the RS stop relaying when RS detects the packet from the other RSs before relaying the own relayed packet. The simulation result shows the proposed system has higher BER performance compared with the conventional system.
