In this paper, the insulation efficiency for a new shape ventilation apparatus (Oriken Inc, Hachinosu Kanki) was measured. Concretely, the measurement results and the special features of normalized sound transmission loss of the Hachinosu Kanki were described. Measurements were carried out by the two-microphone method. First, three kinds of conditions: the completed ventilation apparatus, the outside part taken off and the resister only to be tested were placed in a sample holder and mounted to one of a straight tube (length: 1m, diameter: 0.2mφ). From the results, the insulation efficiency of the new shape ventilation apparatus was about 13 dB at 300 Hz, 5 dB at 420 Hz and 8 dB at 690 Hz. Second, over 800 Hz, the difference of the sound pressure levels between with the apparatus placed in a sample holder and without it was measured. From the results, the insulation efficiency of the apparatus was about 20 dB at 1600 Hz and 22 dB at 3700 Hz. Consequently, it can be said that the insulation efficient of the Hachinosu Kanki is selectively at certain frequency. |
