Development of Multimedia Use in Distant Education of Alice Springs School of Air

(in English) There have been varieties of distance education systems. Alice Springs School of Air (ASSOA) is presently undergoing a project which uses IDeL. Although the official evaluation reports and studies about this project will not be available before it finishes by the end of 2005, this paper uses the methods of ethnography, and examines the possibilities and problems of distance education especially in the case when applied to pre-kinder and/or primary school level children.
