A Study on Approach Situation and The Front Vehicles Extraction at Breke Lamp Position

(in English) In this paper, extraction and recognition of approached vehicle forward are discussed by using the dynamic scene acquired with the camera on a vehicle. The vehicle domain is calculated by setting the vehicle candidate domain from the horizontal element of a vehicle forward, and using the ratio of the width and the height of the body from the position of the brake lamp in addition. A vehicle forward is pursued by using texture information on the brightness change in the calculated vehicle domain, in addition, the distance between two cars is presumed based on the width of the vehicle area. And it is examined to recognize the approached vehicle forward.
