We have put a Distributed Data Driven Architecture (D3A) to practical use and substantiated that high performance and high scalability can be achieved by this architecture. This architecture is comprised of a lot of IA servers. By applying a D3A to an Operation Support System (OSS), we have reduced the Total Costs of Ownership (TCO) and got quit of server vendor strategies such as suspension of servers supply, suspension of maintenance service for servers and so on. In this architecture, DNS resolves an IA server name and two issues related to the DNS redundant configuration remain. One is that the time to synchronize data between a primary server and a secondary server gets longer as the number of IA servers increase. Another is that failure of a primary server leads to performance degradation. In this paper, we propose the improved DNS redundant configuration. We also present the performance evaluation for it and substantiate the effectiveness. |
