Podcasting is an audio data distribution service using RSS (Rich Site Summary). It can distribute audio programs automatically over the Internet. Users have to listen to whole program to know what the contents are all about. We propose a new system using a RSS extension for layered audio files such as a file with news layer, music layer, voice layer, text layer, commercial layer and etc. With this system users are able to know beforehand what the contents of the file are all about and to choose only what they want to listen to or whole. |
