A quantitative method for characterizing time interval changes of pulmonary nodule in 3D thoracic CT images based on CT number histogram

(in English) This paper presents a method to analyze a pulmonary nodule evolution for discriminating between malignant and benign nodules. In order to evaluate the nodule doubling time based on CT density histogram, three-dimensional (3-D) image processing techniques were used. The nodule doubling time based on CT density histogram has highly potential usefulness to assess the nodule evolution using high-resolution CT images.
