Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is known that a power supply circuit based on new FPA has been developed in United States. The circuit used for PRM is basically a buck-boost converter. In this case, it has been reported that a maximum efficiency is obtained at D = 0.5. We will discuss and clarify that the duty ratio for the maximum efficiency is a function of load resistance and that D = 0.5 is for an only case of current source condition of loading. Further, when a feedback is applied to have a constant output voltage, the conditions for the maximum efficiency are also discussed.
