Development of Ultra-Wideband Ranging Technology for Sensor Network

(in English) An impulse-based Ultra-Wideband ranging technology for sensor network has been developed. The ranging method is two-way ranging without terminal synchronization. The prototype has been composed of an impulse generator, an impulse detector and an FPGA. A modulator, a demodulator and a 0.6ns resolution timer have been composed in the FPGA. Experimental results demonstrated 10m ranging with +/-10cm error and 22cm dispersion.
