Configuration of UWB-IR Communication System with On-Off Keying

(in English) UWB-IR utilizing RF oscillator has been proposed. However this configuration can not achieve novel performance of UWB-IR. UWB-IR employing template signal has been also proposed. This method uses correlation between a received signal and the template signal for a demodulation and timing acquisition. However since the waveform of the received signal varies with the characteristic of an antenna, it is difficult to prepare the template signal in advance. In this paper we propose a signal user UWB-IR with OOK to achieve inherent feature of UWB-IR. The antenna characteristic is computed by FDTD method, and validity of the proposed system is examined by PSpice simulation.
