Call Blocking Probability Reduction Methods by Ad-hoc Networking

(in English) In order to reduce infrastructural and operational cost and extend the coverage and capacity of a infrastructure network, hybrid networks that include ad-hoc networks have been investigated. In this paper, we propose a call admission method where calls are diverted by multi-hop technologies through other mobile terminals to avoid congested Access Points. We employ real world application scenarios for a realistic evaluation of our proposal and show that the effect of call blocking probability reduction is high for a local crowded area.
