Among distant learning, more effective lecture will be realized if the attention of students in distant place is directed to the area where the teacher wants them to pay. Most of the teachers use pointers such as laser pointers or stick pointers. Attention directing is possible by transmitting images after emphasizing or blurring the area where the teacher points. This report investigates how to extract the pointer spot from the movie captured by digital video camera. In the proposed method, the pointer spot is separated from the background in the color space by utilizing the characteristic of laser's color. |
