Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) To solve the large linear system of a 3-dimensional bidomain model (BM) as fast as possible, we evaluated the multi-grid (MG) method with various smoothers. We constructed a 10x5x5mm rectangular-shaped cardiac tissue model with 1mA constant current stimuli through the electrodes at the corners of the tissue. We adopted the 3-grid, V-cycle MG, used LU decomposition as a complete solver at the coarsest grid, and used Gauss-Seidel or ILU-preconditioned Jacobi as a smoother. Furthermore, we developed an accelerator utilizing GCR with previously calculated residuals. As a result, we found ILU1 was the fastest smoother and we could calculate BM with only 3 times as much time as for the monodomain model.
