Representation of probability density for a nonmonotonic sequential assosiative memory and normality of crosstalk noise
Satoshi Araki, Masaki Kawamura (Yamaguchi Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We discuss probability density function of internal states for a nonmonotonic sequential associative memory model.
The statistical neurodynamics and the path-integral method have been proposed as theories to analyze dynamics for associative memory models.
Then Koyama et al. proposed the theory to describe probability density distribution of internal states for an auto-associative memory model.
On the contrary, since there is no time correlation for a sequential associative memory model, it is known that internal states obey the Gaussian distribution.
Moreover, in the case of nonmonotonic output function, chaotic behavior can be observed in the dynamics.
It is necessary to verify whether internal states obey the Gaussian distribution in such cases.
In this study, the probability density function of internal
states for the sequential associative memory model is derived by using
the theory that Koyama et al. proposed.
The order parameter equations by our theory are completely equivalent
to those of the statistical neurodynamics and the path-integral method.
In the case of nonmonotonic output function, the theory value of the
probability density distributions of the crosstalk noise by the theory
agree with those by computer simulations.
In order to verify normality of the crosstalk noise, time development
of cumulants is examined.
In the result, we can verify that the third and forth-order
cumulants are always equal to zero.
We found that the results do not contradict the assumption that the crosstalk noise obeys the Gaussian distribution.
