Monotonous driving may cause the lowing of what we term a ‘Driver’s Activation State’ (DAS), resulting in an increased risk of an accident. There is therefore a need to create a more suitable environment in-car so as to allow active driving, hopefully avoiding potentially dangerous situations. In order to develop such an activation method with substantial evidence as a final goal, we have firstly set out to acquire various physiological variables, during simulated monotonous driving. Subsequently, we investigated the derivation of a suitable DAS index. |
