The use of two-photon absorption (TPA) is promising for application in 3D optical memory. We investigated
TPA characteristics of novel -conjugated organic compounds: an organoboron polymer and porphyrin compounds. Porphyrins
exhibit high values of TPA cross sections (680,2700 GM), with one-photon absorption at 800 nm effectively eliminated. TPA
cross section of Organoboron polymer is also high (500 GM). Moreover, variation of refractive index of organoboron polymer
is occurred by TPA. TPA cross sections of our materials are higher than that of conventional ones, such as diarylethenes. These
results indicate that our materials are suitable for 3D memory using TPA. |
