寝具上の動作識別手法の検討

介護施設や病院施設において、認知・理解力、及び、運動能力の低下が見られる高齢者が単独で寝具から離床を試み、寝具から転落する事故が問題となっている。高齢者が離床しようとする動作を検出し、高齢者が離床する前に介護者に通知することで転落事故を未然に防ぐことができる。そこで、離床動作を検出するために、寝具の各脚下に配置した重量計で寝具上の人の重心位置を計測し、その重心位置の軌跡形状から、離床につながる動作のパターン認識をする手法を検討する。本稿では、まず、要介護の高齢者の寝具上の動作分析から動作パターンの分類を行った。さらに、離床前の動作と、それ以外の動作を識別するためのパターン識別機を設計し、誤報を少なく押えながら離床動作を検出することが可能であることを確認した。 |

Falls from bed are one of the most common problems faced by elderly people who have problems with physical capabilities and reasoning abilities in hospitals or nursing homes. Fall incidents can be prevented by detecting an elderly person trying to get out of bed and informing a caretaker of the event. In order to detect a person trying to get out of bed, an automatic behavior recognition method based on the trajectory of center of gravity was developed. First, the center of gravity of a subject on a bed was calculated by placing the bed on four scales. Next, motions of elderly people who require nursing care were studied and classified into pre-ambulation category or non-ambulation category. Then, a pattern recognition algorithm was developed to classify a time sequence of the center of gravity into pre-ambulation category or non-ambulation category. Finally, the performance of the algorithm was evaluated and it was found that motions of pre-ambulation are detected while keeping false alarm rate low. |
