Relay-Assignment Algorithm for Amplify-and-Forward Cooperative Communications
Kengo Shirai, Kazunori Hayashi, Hideaki Sakai (Kyoto Univ.) SIP2006-135 RCS2006-193
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper derives an optimum relay position of amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperative communications with the differential transmission. As a performance measure, we adopt the probability of outage. The optimum relay position is found on the basis of the theoretical expression of the outage probability. Then we use the results of the optimum relay position and propose some practical relay-assignment algorithms. Computer simulations are also conducted to verify the validity of the theoretical analysis and to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithms.
