Broadband Single Carrier Transmission Technique using Dynamic Spectrum Control
Keigo Mashima, Seiichi Sampei (Osaka Univ.) SIP2006-175 RCS2006-233
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper proposes a single carrier - adaptive spectrum allocation (SC-ASA) transmission technique to achieve a dynamic spectrum control in a single carrier system.
In the proposed scheme, a frame signal with a cyclic prefix (CP) is generated to represent the signal spectrum as the line spectrum, and the line spectrum is dynamically mapped onto the assigned bandwidth according to the channel state and interference level for each discrete frequency.
Computer simulation confirms that the proposed scheme is effective in suppression of residual interference after frequency domain equalizer (FDE) and in improvement of interference immunity while keeping low peak to average power ratio (PAPR).
