Pilot-assisted channel estimation for turbo-coded MC-CDMA with ICI cancellation

(in English) Multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) has been attracting much attention as a transmission technique in the next generation mobile communications. Turbo-coded MC-CDMA can significantly improve the bit error rate (BER) performance in a severe frequency-selective fading channel. However, the BER performance of turbo-coded MC-CDMA degrades due to the residual inter-code interference (ICI). Recently, frequency-domain adaptive interference cancellation (FDAIC) was proposed to reduce the residual ICI and the achievable BER performance was evaluated assuming ideal channel estimation. So far, the BER performance with a practical channel estimation hasn’t been examined. In this paper, assuming pilot-assisted channel estimation, we evaluate by computer simulation the BER performance of turbo-coded MC-CDMA with FDAIC.
