Polyfluorene oriented films formed by friction-transfer method show blue-light emission with polarization. Oligothiophenes, fluorescent dyes, were doped into the oriented films using vapor transportation method. The doped film showed the polarized emission from the oriented polymer and the doped dye. It caused by that oligothiophene molecules were aligned in the polymer chain direction. We succeeded in extending wavelength range of emission with polarization by doping fluorescent dye to the films. |
