Development of an EMD based analogue motion detection sensor

(in English) The so called elementary motion detector or EMD is a computational model describing visual signal processing activities found in insects. Due to its low computational cost, the detector is a good choice for realizing a fast motion detection algorithm. To utilize such a nice feature as a detector, we have implemented the model using analogue circuit devices. The performance of our analogue version of the EMD has been examined by feeding into our EMD various signals, for instance, sine waves and apparent motion signals generated by LED devices.
