To promote competitive potential, the spectral analysis of EMG was conducted for the skiers with different ability. The EMG’s of agonists of upper and lower limbs were measured in a real competition with an elite skier and a student skier. Frequency spectra of EMG’s were obtained using the wavelet transform. In the analysis, it was found that the student skier mainly used motor unit with frequency of slow muscle fibers and that the elite skier recruited both the fast and slow type of motor unit. This property of the frequency spectrum seemed to be characteristics to the elite skier, and to indicate the difference of competitive potential. |
