An identity escrow scheme called Decentralized Identity Escrow (DECIDE) has three identity tiers,’identity’ (=’real identity’), ’pseudonymity’(=’virtual identity’), and ’anonymity,’ and a person can move dynamically from one tier to another. The scheme provides a high decentralization capability for the management of the identity tiers. In this paper, we present some results from a computer simulation study and human experiment study on DECIDE when it is applied to a kind of bulletin board system (BBS). Based on these results, we discuss the way the identity management should be. |
