Development of Myoelectrically-controlled Below-elbow Prosthesis with Wrist Rotation Function(2nd Report)

(in English) This paper reports a forearm motion discrimination system for control of myoelectric below-elbow prostheses. Simplification of EMG feature extraction system is important to design small-sized prosthesis control system. The EMG feature extraction system using DSP was evaluated with the DSP starter kit (6711DSK). Feature vectors were obtained using FFT function and 50-period moving average. A subject could obtain the average discriminating rate over 95% using on-line training system with visual feedback.
