This contract research project conducted by NICT aims at research and development of high-performance photonic nodes that can be extended to 100 Tera bit per second throughput. The node can switch multi-granular optical signals including optical burst to multi-order optical paths. The major developments include; ultra-high speed switching technologies with nano second switching time, waveband switching technologies, effective photonic networking technologies with multi-granular optical switching capabilities, multi-granular photonic network control and provisioning technologies. |
