Liquid crystal (LC) grating cell can electrically control the diffraction properties by switching the LC director and be applied to highly-functionalized optical devices. We have studied LC molecular orientation and optical properties of LC grating cells possessing a periodically-oriented alignment layer and uniaxally-oriented one. In order to realized higher functionalized LC grating cells, in present study, we prepare the LC grating cells with two periodically-oriented alignment layers and intensively investigate the alignment structure and optical properties of resultant LC grating cells. |
