Binocular robot vision system that emulates neural mechanism of sterescopic vision

(in English) We describe a binocular robot vision system for emulating computational models
of streoscopic vision in brain.
The system comprises two silicon retinas and field programmable gate array (FPGA) circuits.
The silicon retina executes a Laplacian-Gaussian-like and Gabor-like spatial filtering
for input images in real-time.
The FPGA circuits compute models of stereoscopic vision employing a dedicated digital circuit
and software which operates on a CPU core in the FPGA.
We configured a model of vergence eye movement, which is an extention of a disparity energy model,
using the robot vision system.
