Improvement of Detection Probability and Velocity Measurement Accuracy with Coherent Pulse Integration Using Velocity Compensation by Range Shifts of Chirp Pulse Compression

(in English) In the radar system, detecting moving target and measuring target velocity are important. Conventional LPRF radar system uses non-coherent integration between pulses to improve detection performance of the accelerative targets. If it is possible to use coherent integration, detection performance will be improved. However, for the LPRF radar, the true target relative velocity cannot be measured due to velocity ambiguity. If it is possible to remove ambiguity, accuracy of velocity measurement will be improved.
In this paper, we propose an algorithm to improvement of detection probability and accuracy of velocity measurement with coherent pulse integration using velocity compensation by range shifts of chirp pulse compression for the LPRF radar.
