Although the recognition of traffic signal is vital importance both
in current and advanced automobile society, development or research
concerning its recognition are still limited among various activities
in Intelligent Transport System(ITS).
In this paper, we propose a computer vision based technique for
recognizing traffic signal from on-board captured image stream.
In our system, traffic signals are detected by template matching with
several size adjustable templates, and detected signals are maintained
through successive image frames by Kalman filtering. |
