A Non-Regenerative/Coherent Combining Relaying System

(in English) This paper investigates the performance of a non-regenerative/coherent combining relaying system. To derive the optimal weights at relaying stations which can maximize the signal-to-noise power ratio (SNR) for the received signal at a receiver station, Larsson used Cauchy-Shwarz inequality. On the other hand, as a main contribution of the paper, for several interesting extensions of the system, we try to derive them with matrix/vector notation. Furthermore, assuming TDMA/TDD (time division multiple access/time division duplex) with channel reciprocity, we discuss
a method to obtain the optimal weights at relaying stations. Finally, by computer simulation, we show the attainable average SNR of a non-regenerative/coherent combining relaying system taking into consideration the estimation errors of channel impulse responses.
