Shaping Algorithm based on Bresenham's Quantization -- Enabling high-speed and saleable communications quality control --

(in English) Generic Frame Rate Algorithm-based shaper is highly saleable with respect to quantity of queues, while it could hardly apply to high speed communication lines. This is because it retains communication rate of frame from value of L/PIR, where L and PIR are frame length and communication rate respectively, with division based algorithm. Thus, to enable shaper which is highly saleable with respect to quantity of queues and could support high speed communication lines, algorithm that rapidly quantizes value of L/PIR to integer with multiplication and addition/subtraction is invented based on Bresenham's quantization. FPGA implementation results of the algorithm indicate that run time is highly reduced from division based conventional algorithm, so it could apply to high speed communication lines.
