We have considered to use Wireless LAN for indoor positioning system, in order to use not only for positioning but also for giving information. There are many obstacles indoors, and it causes less accurate to calculate position using radio waves. This situation, however, also causes that targets are restricted to move. Considering this condition, we propose a indoor positioning method with indoor “obstacles map”, and with restrictions depending on moving history on target. We aim to accomplish more accurate positioning by removing and correcting a “unable to move” positioning result with following steps - to calculate correction for attenuation for wave, to restrict a movable area for a target for using this map, and to restrict a movable distance according to moving history on a target. We have evaluated our method to implement a prototype system and to take calculating experiments with this system. |
