Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The Japanese regulation and rules on in-house broadband and high speed power line communication (PLC) were enforced on 4 October 2006, and supposed, with 99% probability, to suppress the radiated electric field (REF) at a distance of 10m or 30m, below the ambient noise level by restricting the common mode (CM) current measured by an ISN with LCL=16dB. However actual excess of REF is higher than the ambient noise level by more than 40dB. Thus we measured the REF, LCL and the ambient noise level by using a few commercially available PLC modems in order to investigate the origin of the excess REF and possible problems of the technical basis for the Japanese PLC modem.
